This review presents diverse approaches to cancer biotherapy including
bacteriolytic therapy aimed at inducing apoptosis in tumor cells,
bacterial vector-based cancer vaccines, and inhibition of tumor
neoangiogenesis by microorganisms. The normal microflora in humans and
animals may restrain malignant tumor regeneration.
