Flow cytometric studies of rat cerebellum neurons are described under
conditions inducing cell death. Using a double labeling technique,
discrimination between apoptotic and necrotic cell transformations is
demonstrated. Histidine containing neuropeptides were found to regulate
cell stability, taking part in selection of the preferable way of
neuronal death under oxidative stress.
